Dr. TaLisa J. Carter

Criminologist | Researcher | Scholar | Educator

TaLisa J. Carter, Ph.D. is a native of Long Island, New York, dedicated to understanding the interactions of deviance, social organizations, and race. Dr. Carter is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Justice, Law & Criminology at American University in Washington, D.C., an Affiliated Scholar at Urban Institute, a non-residence fellow with the Brookings Institute, and an Affiliate with the Center for Advancing Correctional Excellence! at George Mason University. Previously, she worked as a Deputy Corrections Officer in Savannah, GA where she supervised male and female residents with diverse classification statuses. Ongoing research examines theoretical explanations of accountability in the Criminal Justice System, the role of identity in criminal justice professions, and the impact of colorism on criminal justice outcomes. Her work has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Carter is published in several academic journals including Race & Justice, Deviant Behavior, and Sociological Forum.

Leading Lady Allexisus Golden

Refiner's Fire Worship Assembly

Allexisus Ayana Golden is a native of Osceola, Arkansas, but currently resides in Macon, GA where she serves alongside her husband Pastor Anthony Golden Sr as a leading lady of Refiner’s Fire Worship Assembly. She is a devoted mother to Anthony Golden Jr, preacher and recording artist. Her debut single, entitled “Mighty One” was released in 2021 and is a declaration of the fire and passion she ministers with.

Pastor Joyce A. Jones

Preacher, inspirational speaker, and workshop facilitator, Pastor Joyce A. Jones currently serves as the Senior Executive Pastor of the Greater Tabernacle Christian Cathedral located in Brooklyn, New York under the auspicious leadership of her husband Bishop James B. Jones, III.  She is also the author of the highly anticipated release “The Denied Identity of A Woman”. 

Pastor Joyce answered the call to ministry in 1991 and immediately began formal religious studies at Bethel Bible School.  She later received certification as a Christian Life Coach under the American Association of Christian Counselors.

In 2014 Pastor Joyce launched “Purposeful Living Ministries” and created a tailor-made workshop series entitled “Act Like A Lady, Think Like A WOMAN”. In addition, Pastor Joyce oversees the Women’s Ministry of Greater Tabernacle (W.I.N.K.) and hosts its life changing Annual Women’s Conference which empowers women to be able to walk in spiritual wholeness and boldness.

The ministry of Pastor Joyce clearly resonates throughout the New York Metropolitan area and beyond as one with a passion to see women and men live effective, productive, and victorious lives through the dynamic preaching and teaching of God’s Word.  She is known and admired for her anointed and unique ability to share biblical principles in a way that catapults transformation in the lives of the believer, as well as, the unbeliever with relevance to the times in which we live. 

Pastor Joyce’s ability to assist people of varying backgrounds achieve holistic and balanced lifestyles continues to cause her ministry to expand beyond the walls of the church to social media platforms, featured interviews on multiple blog talk radio shows, and personal appearances too many to number, with so much more on the horizon.

Pastor Joyce is intentional in making time for the leisure activities she savors most which are spending quality moments with her husband of 38 years, socializing with friends, and reading. She holds dear to her heart, two daughters and their husbands; Eboni & John Stewart; Jamise & Pierre Porterfield; her only son, James B. Jones, IV; and four beautiful grandchildren.

Above all else, Pastor Joyce’s desire is to remain a woman in submission to both God and her husband, thereby bringing Glory to the Father in all that she does.

Apostle Dr. Larinda King

Dr. Larinda J. King is a pastor, author, speaker, multimedia specialist, and broadcaster for both T.V. and radio. Larinda is a graduate of Savannah State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications with a concentration in T.V. and Radio. While attending Savannah State, she founded Commissioned to Love Campus Ministry, a Christian based support group for young college students who desired to serve God in their youth. The ministry, founded in 2003, served God through the arts to promote the message of The Gospel. As the group flourished, Dr. Larinda founded End Time Commission, where she now serves as the senior pastor alongside her husband, Christopher King. In addition to establishing her ministry, she has birthed several diverse kingdom businesses, including Flight of Promise Media Group, Legacy Living LLC, and Heirloom Publishing, to name a few. After completing her undergraduate work, she went on to pursue her Master of Arts degree in Multimedia Communications at the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco, California. It was through this matriculation that she felt compelled to birth Flight of Promise Media group, a multimedia umbrella that serves as a hub for various media outlets like the Force Radio, FOP TV, and Heirloom Publishing. The company also mentors the youth of Savannah, in the Arts, specifically multi-media, to help groom the next generation of creatives and professionals. With a dynamic vision and passion for the youth, she has served her community with the richness of the Spirit of God, boldness, and faithfulness. Dr. Larinda has a prophetic and apostolic anointing to reach the masses and encourage the citizens of the Kingdom through media. As her focus to advance the kingdom sharpens, God has shown her that the Mountain of Media is one of the most powerful weapons of warfare, thus providing a platform for the Gospel in every aspect of life. In addition, Dr. Larinda currently serves as an Elite Executive Senior Sales Director with Mary Kay, where she was ranked number 1 in the U.S., generating over 1.55 Million in sales for 2021, and number 2 in the U.S. with over 1 Million in sales. She is also a board member with Savannah C.A.R.E.S, a select group personally chosen by Savannah’s mayor, and is the President of the Low Country’s Christian Women in Media organization. For the 2021-2022 year, Dr. Larinda was a nominee for Savannah’s Best in two categories: Best Radio Personality and Best Local Influencer. In 2022, Dr. Larinda was named South University's Alumni of the Year. Dr. Larinda has been passionate on laying the ground work in funding and accreditation for The Remnant Kingship Academy, an arts based Christian private school for Savannah inner city youth, where she serves as the school’s Executive Director. Her passion for The Gospel, the youth, and media, are all components that led her to South University, where she attained a Doctor of Ministry. Her prolific work and commitment to excellence have proven her to be a beacon of hope for the community in which she serves.
